All research involving human participants requires ethics approval. Participation is voluntary and you may decide to withdraw at any time.

You will be given an information letter which will outline the research project and you will have an opportunity to ask questions or discuss further, before you decide to take part.

To check whether you are eligible to participate, you may be contacted by phone for pre-screening.

Each research project is different. Our projects may involve:

• collection of personal information
• visits to the RPH Research Foundation building in Perth City
• participating in focus group discussions
• fasting blood tests
• wearing heart rate monitors
• performing an electrocardiogram (ECG)

When you volunteer for a research study, as well as enabling life-changing research, there are also valuable benefits to you such as:
